TG#20 – Extreme Ironing (Photo 2)
Taking these photos was both very good fun and quite painful at times!
Adventure Update #6: Uyuni
Our final Bolivia excursion was a 3-day/2-night tour of Salar de Uyuni (the largest salt flat in the world) and the surrounding areas. I’ll be writing this post as I go along, however I suspect I won’t write too much – Uyuni is a place where pictures are worth way more than the standard thousand words.
Adventure Update #5: Copacabana
I’ve heard that it’s the hottest spot north of Havana, but unfortunately the Copacabana that Harry and I visited this weekend was incredibly cold! Adventure Update #1: All Aboard for Porto Velho!
As I write this I am lying in my hammock, listening to the sounds of a busy river port, and feeling overwhelmingly relaxed. The first “chunk” of our holiday has gone exceedingly well
Here We Go!
It’s over; it’s finished, And the day is now done. The fat lady has sung, And my holiday has begun! That’s right – I am no longer a teacher, and I am now officially a tourist! I’m not 100% sure that being “gringo” is any better than being “Sir Mark”, but I’ll bet it’ll be … Continue reading
Farewell (+ My Leaving Speech)
Today was quite an interesting day. I don’t leave Sand Creek until early Saturday morning, but for various reasons our farewell event was held today (Wednesday).
